Press and Communications Officer wanted for Saltscape project

A part-time Press and Communications Officer is being sought to help promote the Saltscape project, which kicked off in Cheshire last year. 

 

The three-year project received a grant of £886,500 from the Heritage Lottery Fund to conserve and restore important features connected to the salt landscape in and around Northwich, Winsford, Frodsham and Middlewich.

 

The successful applicant will need: 

 

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • A solid track record of writing and coordinating press releases and building positive relationships with the media.
  • Experience developing effective communication strategies for conservation or heritage focused projects.
  • Ability to pick out the most relevant and engaging stories from a wide ranging activity programme to promote the distinctive character of a diverse landscape.
