Small grants available for conservation and heritage projects in Weaver Valley

27 February 2015

A number of small grants totalling £1000 are available to community groups and non-profit organisations working in the Weaver Valley, as part of the Saltscape project.

It is anticipated that this will fund several projects taking place from April 2015 – October 2015. The deadline for applications is Tuesday 24th March 2015.

The grant money is given in order to support work taking place within the boundary of the Saltscape project area that meets one of the Saltscape partnership's four main objectives:

• To conserve, record and restore important features connected to the regions salt heritage

• To improve public access to the salt landscape

• To provide opportunities for people to learn new skills and take part in training

• To celebrate the unique landscape of the Weaver Valley.

Please telephone Alison Lomax on 01606 723160 or email alison.lomax@groundworkcheshire.org.uk if you have any queries or would like to have a chat about your project ideas.
