Discover nature at Colliers Moss

05 May 2017

It's just thirty years since the colliery headgear came crashing down at Bold Colliery. Situated right next to a power station, this was one of the most industrial sites in the country. Now, nature has taken over and it's transformed into a tranquil green space with woods, lagoons and more.

On Sunday May 7th as part of Walk in the Woods month there's an opportunity to get the lowdown on the nature of this incredible space with our guided walk from local naturalist Tom Ferguson. The walk will focus particularly on the recent summer arrivals in the bird population and the wildflowers in bloom.

Walk details

Meet at 2pm at the Millennium Bridge (the bridge over the railway line, marked with the blue walking symbol on the map below) that separates Colliers Moss north and south. The walk will be around Colliers Moss North.
