The Northwest’s timber sector can look forward to an exciting future with the development of The Mersey Forest Timber Network. The network will link end users, from furniture makers to sculptors, with timber producers in the 465 square mile Mersey Forest area, and will champion the sustainable management of woodlands as a key selling point for products. A special event to launch the network takes place on Thursday 26th July 2007 when network members will be visiting wood producers in the area and discussing future plans including a potential local timber product exhibition to tie in with Liverpool, European Capital of Culture 2008. Existing or potential timber users in The Mersey Forest can apply to join the network via the link below.
