Renewable Heat Incentive

What is the Renewable Heat Incentive?

The government is bringing forward a new incentive that will pay businesses to use renewable heating sources each year for 15 years. The scheme, due to start in 2011 is called the Renewable Heat Incentive or RHI. You could be using green heating oil, biomass, ground source heat pumps and other low carbon heating technologies.
