A community woodland on the doorstep of Whiston, with trees and wildflowers, paths and wildlife waiting to be discovered. Created from farmland and now open for everyone to enjoy, you could even get involved with the local community group helping to run the site.

The site of Whiston Wood was acquired by the Forestry Commission in 2001 and transformed from an empty field into a thriving woodland with a network of paths. School children have helped the owners to rescue the site's impressive bluebell population from invasive weeds, as well as helping to plant some of the first saplings. Trees at Whiston Wood can be dedicated to loved ones through the Dedicate a Tree scheme. Click here for more information.
