"Walk in the Woods month" returns in May 2012

Walk in the Woods month is The Tree Council's national festival of guided woodland walks which happens each May. The 2012 walks schedule for The Mersey Forest area (Merseyside and North Cheshire) will be available in April. In the meantime, see what was on offer last year as a taster:

Together with local running club Spectrum Striders, The Mersey Forest is celebrating Risley Moss as an official London 2012 "Inspire" site as part of Walk in the Woods month, somewhere where you can come for a leisurely walk or a quick run if you feel inspired by the Olympics to get a bit fitter.
