Our work - Empowering communities

The Mersey Forest is a community forest and it's home to 1.7m people. We want as many of them as possible to enjoy the Forest - and to take part in planning and developing its growth.

When the Forest is used and cherished by local people, it becomes more sustainable in the long run. That's why we support local Friends groups and help people gain the skills to look after their local part of the Forest.
