Access to Nature

Access to Nature was The Mersey Forest's project to help people to re-connect with their green spaces in the Sutton Manor area of St.Helens and the Mab Lane area of Liverpool.

Access to Nature encouraged more people to enjoy the outdoors, particularly those who faced social exclusion or those that had little or no contact with the natural environment - perhaps because they lacked the confidence to get out and enjoy natural places or had few opportunities to do so.

It showcased the relatively new woodlands at Mab Lane Community Woodland and Bold Forest Park, encouraging people to visit them again and again.
