Delamere Forest comprises over 950 hectares of mixed deciduous and evergreen forest, open grassland and wetlands. It is the largest wooded area in The Mersey Forest. Blakemere Moss is an excellent habitat for a wide variety of wildlife and is particularly popular with ornithologists. Delamere offers the complete day out for all the family, with a wide range of facilities.

Smooth sandy tracks provide an excellent surface for walking, running, cycling or horse riding, and bikes are also available to hire.

There's also Go Ape!, a tree top adventure course of ropes bridges, Tarzan swings and zip slides up to almost 35 feet above the forest floor.

Trees at the adjacent site Old Pale can be dedicated to loved ones through the Dedicate a Tree scheme. Click here for more information.

Planted here: Kaiser Linden
The Kaiser Linden is so called because it is famously planted along the Unter des Linden in Berlin. Popular in Germany and Austria, it's a hybrid of the Small Leaved Lime and the Large Leaved Lime.
