Mab Lane Community Woodland is a new woodland being created in the West Derby area of Liverpool. It is spread across two nearby sites, known as the Mabby (Mab Lane playing fields) and the backfield (or 'the backy'). These two sites are connected by Cantril Park (also known as 'the swings').
The woodland is being created by a partnership of a range of Liverpool and Northwest organisations… and you!
Together the aim is to create the most colourful woodland in the world as a proud legacy of Liverpool's Capital of Culture year, a showpiece for the City's Year of Environment 09, and a long lasting community asset for all to enjoy.
