Murdishaw Valley is located on the southern edge of Runcorn New Town adjacent to the M56. The Valley covers an area of 36 hectares and consists of an area of ancient semi-natural woodland surrounded by species rich grassland, broadleaved woodland and five ponds of various sizes. A stream runs through the mile long site, eventually joining Keckwick Brook, a tributary of the Mersey.

As well as a spectacular carpet of bluebells in season amongst the trees, the volunteer group who look after the site have found many rare and colourful wildflower species there. To find out how to get involved, click here.
