Mindfulness in forests for organisations

"The session was really useful to me and helped me understand how much I miss in not being fully present. It helped me learn to focus and taught me a new way to be with nature which I hadn't fully appreciated before. Looking at nature for the answer to things really is a revelation and something that will help me in the future in this crazy world of ours."

What is mindfulness in forests?
Mindfulness is a form of meditation which has been proven to have a variety of benefits Mindfulness refers to heightened awareness of what is going on within and around you, in the present moment, in a non-judgemental way.

Awareness of the benefits of mindfulness in the workplace is growing, and it is increasingly being adopted by leaders and staff alike to help them perform better in complex fast-changing and unpredictable environments.

How can forest mindfulness benefit your organisation?

The benefits of practising mindfulness include:

  • Enhanced cognitive skills: concentration, memory, creative thinking, openness, flexibility
  • Enhanced psychological skills: emotional intelligence, coping with stress, communication and interpersonal relationships, self-confidence
  • Improved health and wellbeing: stress reduction, illness prevention, improved sleep quality, emotional resilience

Practising mindfulness in forests is particularly beneficial because of the well-documented health benefits associated with spending time in woodlands and forests.
