Pex Hill

Pex Hill is an unusual stunted oak woodland surrounded by heathland, with excellent views of the Mersey Estuary and the mountains of North Wales. It also incorporates a disused quarry and an astronomical observatory.

1. Take the path opposite the visitor centre from the car park, on a path roughly parallel with Pex Hill Avenue.

2. Bear left at the fork.

3. Turn right when you reach a track.

4. At the end of the track bear right on a path around the edge of the quarry.

5. Bear right at the fork to return to the car park.
